Cookie Notice

Last Updated

At Go:lofty we are committed to transparency and compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Croatian Electronic Communications Act, and other applicable data protection laws. This Cookie Policy explains how and why we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, what data they collect, how you can manage your preferences, and your rights as a user.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit our website. They may contain identifiers such as your IP address, session ID, or browser details, which in some cases can qualify as personal data under GDPR.

We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, tracking pixels, local storage, and scripts (collectively, “Cookies”).

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Ensure the proper functioning and security of our website (strictly necessary cookies).

  • Improve your user experience (e.g. remembering preferences).

  • Analyze site usage and performance (analytics cookies).

  • Personalize content and deliver relevant advertising, including through trusted third-party partners (advertising cookies).

Non-essential cookies (analytics, functional, advertising) are only placed if you give us prior consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using our Cookie Preferences Manager available in the footer of our website.

Types of Cookies We Use

We classify cookies into the following categories:

a) Required Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function correctly and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take (e.g. logging in, filling forms, adjusting privacy settings).

Examples:

  • wp-settings (WordPress core) – saves UI preferences – duration: 1 year – first party.

  • cookieconsent_status – remembers your cookie choices – duration: 6 months – first party.

b) Functional / Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website and allow us to improve performance. They collect aggregated and anonymous information unless you have given consent to identify trends more deeply.

Examples:

  • _ga (Google Analytics) – tracks website usage – duration: 13 months – third party (Google LLC, USA – safeguarded by SCCs).

  • _gid – differentiates users – duration: 24 hours – third party.

c) Advertising / Marketing Cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by advertising partners. They build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They work by uniquely identifying your browser and device.

Examples:

  • _fbp (Meta Pixel) – measures ad conversions and retargeting – duration: 90 days – third party (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd).

  • IDE (Google Ads) – advertising delivery – duration: 13 months – third party.

A full, up-to-date cookie list is available in the [Cookie Preferences Manager].

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You are in full control of your cookie choices:

  • Consent banner: On your first visit, you can accept, reject, or manage cookie categories.

  • Preferences Manager: Available at any time in the website footer to adjust your settings or withdraw consent.

  • Browser settings: You can block or delete cookies via your browser, though some parts of the site may not function properly.

  • Withdrawal of consent: Once withdrawn, non-essential cookies will be deactivated immediately.

We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals because they are not legally standardized in the EU. However, you can always control cookies directly through our manager.

Data Sharing and International Transfers

Some cookies are placed by third parties (e.g. Google, Meta) who may process data outside the EU/EEA. In such cases, we ensure that Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other safeguards under GDPR are in place.

We do not “sell” your personal data. Where we “share” data for advertising purposes, it is always based on your consent.

Retention Periods

Cookies remain on your device for varying lengths of time:

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser.

  • Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

Retention periods for each cookie are listed in the cookie table within the Cookie Preferences Manager.

Minors

Our website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly set non-essential cookies on their devices without parental consent.

Other Tracking Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use pixels, tags, SDKs, and server logs to achieve similar purposes. These technologies are subject to the same rules and controls described above.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our business practices. The “Last Updated” date at the top of the page shows when this policy was last revised. Significant changes will be communicated to you via a banner or notification.
